History About New York City Ballet

New York City Ballet or call it Ballet society. The company was first established in 1946. So the famous artists Lincoln Kirstein and George Balanchine promoted the lyric theatre. It is basically a part of the Ballet Company. This society’s public performance first began in New York City at the Center Theater. The first performance was in 1948. After some time, the company name changed into New York City Ballet.

In 1950 the company attracted a higher percentage of foreign tours along with reputation. The current location of New York City ballet was selected in 1964. However, summer sessions are popular in the company, and tourists can enjoy the performance at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The company is home to a lot of successful artists and dancers in NYC.
